About

I am an author, student of English, and retired nurse.  I have three self-published books within three genres.  My first book, “The Platonic Wife” is a romance that was published in 2006.  The second book, “Dating: What I learned while eating appetizers across from strangers” is a non-fiction short work describing my experiences in dating after age 30.  The third book is a memoir put together from journals left by my father after his death in 2003.  These three totally different works have allowed me the ability to find that in my writing I prefer the freedom to cross genres as subject matter in my life presents itself.  I continue to create stories, write books, and submit to various contests for fiction, short-fiction and non-fiction around the country. I will be working as a teacher this year in my local public school system. My blog is a mix of all three genres, pieces of essay work I have completed during my education, art from life, and moments from a journal written in the middle of the night.
